A child educated only at school is an uneducated child.
Children have to be educated, but they have also to be left to educate themselves. ~Abbé Dimnet, Art of Thinking, 1928
And my favorite...as seen on a bumper sticker on my friends car
"Children should be seen, heard and believed!"
Also, as a note of personal thanks.
I would like to thank all of my colleagues for their responses to my blog and their involvement with the discussion throughout the course. I feel we are helping each other develop as professionals, and they offer such a great support in my continuing education. Their ideas are very helpful, and they offer some new insites in the field. As a relative new comer to early childhood I very much respect their opinions and am thankful for their presence in my life today.
